Assam Polytechnic Admission 2025 : The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam, has announced admissions for 3-year Diploma courses in Engineering and Technology for the 2025-26 academic year. Eligible candidates can apply online for seats in government polytechnic colleges in Assam.

As per the 2024 DTE notification, there are 4,425 seats available across 22 different diploma programs.

Assam Polytechnic Admission 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Residency Requirements:

Must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Assam.
Submit a Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) during counseling.
Provisional admission is allowed with a PRC application receipt and a written promise to submit the final PRC within 60 days.
Failure to submit the PRC on time will result in seat cancellation.

Educational Qualifications:

Passed HSLC or equivalent exam in one attempt with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects.
Must have passed both theory and practical exams in these subjects.

Minimum Marks in Math & Science:

General/OBC/MOBC: 40% average
SC: 35% average
ST: 33% average

Age Limit:

Minimum age: 16 years by December 31, 2025.
No upper age limit.

Click “Online Application Form” to begin your registration.
Log in again using the same link after registration.
Fill in details:
- Enter personal and educational information.
- Upload required documents (e.g., PRC, marksheets).
Pay the application fee (₹300 + bank charges).
Submit the form and save/print a copy for future reference.

Documents Required for Polytechnic Admission Portal

For All Applicants:

Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) of Assam.

For Reserved Categories:
2. Caste Certificate (mandatory for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates).
3. Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (for OBC/MOBC and six communities under OBC/MOBC).

Special Categories:
4. Freedom Fighter’s Grandchildren:

Certificate from the Chief Minister’s Office or Home & Political Department.
Relationship proof from the District Deputy Commissioner.

Retired Defense Personnel’s Children:
- Certificate from the Rajyik Sainik Board, Assam.
Central Govt. Employees’ Children:
- PRC from the home state (if outside Assam).
- Parent’s service certificate from Assam-based authority.
Persons with Disabilities (PwD):
- Disability ID card issued by the Social Welfare Department, Assam.
Economically Weaker Sections (EWS):
- Valid EWS Certificate.
Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW):
- Annual Income Certificate (issued by a Revenue Circle Officer or higher authority).
Sports Quota:
- Certificate from the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare, Assam.
