Scholarship Value

Eligibility Criteria for NMMS Scholarship 2025
To apply for the NMMS Scholarship 2025, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Class: Students studying in Class VIII in Government, Local Body, or Government-aided schools are eligible.
- Marks:
- Minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in Class VII examination to appear for the NMMS exam (50% for SC/ST students).
- Awardees must secure at least 55% marks in Class IX and XI, and 60% in Class X for continuation of the scholarship (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST candidates).
- Family Income: Parental income should not exceed Rs. 3,50,000/- per annum.
- Type of School: Regular students in Classes IX, X, XI, and XII in Government, Government-aided, or local body schools for a maximum of four years.
Who Cannot Apply for NMMS Scholarship 2025?
The following students are not eligible:
- Students studying in private schools (even if they appear for the exam, they cannot receive the scholarship).
- Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya or Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.
- Students in residential schools run by State Government institutions providing boarding, lodging, and education.
- Students studying in private schools.

Selection Process and Syllabus for NMMS Scholarship 2025
The NMMS Scholarship 2025 selection process involves a written examination with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) held on 15/11/2025. The question paper will be available in Assamese, English, Hindi, Bengali, and Bodo mediums, with the OMR sheet in English. Previous 5 years’ question papers are available on the ‘Bidyarthi’ app on Google Play Store. Candidates with disabilities will receive extra time as applicable.
